To start a new plant in our laboratory...
…we begin by researching and determining the optimal media and method for production. Next, we initiate laboratory propagation and establish the necessary growing conditions for healthy plants and optimal yield. Once optimized, plantlets are propagated to your desired quantity. The end product we deliver to you is an in vitro plantlet without roots (Stage 2) or rooted (Stage 3) and is ready for acclimatization.
We also provide plants rooted in soil acclimatized (Stage 4), using our nursery or our facility or yours of your choice to provide this service. We also offer several services to complement your needs, including seed production, pathogen testing, breeding, creation of multi-ploid plants and repository.

Choose from our selection of available cultivars. We will work with you to find a schedule that works with your needs and timeline. Monthly, bimonthly or recurring deliveries are also available for clients with regular, predictable production schedules.
We can clone your cultivars and bring to the production numbers you need. For new plants, not already in production, a one time development (initiation) fee will be charged in addition to the price per plant delivered.
When future deliveries are anticipated, pHenos. can maintain stock of material in vitro at a nominal cost per month. This material will be maintained in our laboratory, will obviate the need for subsequent initiations, and will be available to rapidly prepare for future propagation and deliveries.

It should be noted that except for proprietary cultivars ,pHenos does not maintain large inventories of most plants for purposes other than filling existing customer’s contract orders. Although micropropagation is a fast an efficient means for propagating larger numbers of plants, you need to anticipate the time required to initiate and develop the laboratory inventory required for producing your order. This production time will vary from 1-2 months to a year (for new plants) or more, depending upon the plant in question. Plan ahead and anticipate an average of 6 months between the time you place an order until you are receiving your delivery. Contact us to better determine the timing.
